We are currently hiring Registered Massage Therapists [RMT’s] for a contractor position to join our team.

Locations: SOUTH | Avenida Shopping Centre – 12445 Lake Fraser Dr SE #102 OR WEST | COP – 110 Na’a Common SW

Schedule: A combination of 1-4 shifts per week, including a mix of weekday and weekend shifts. Potential schedule options include:

Shifts we are currently Recruiting for at COP | West with anticipated end of November start:
● Monday: 3:45 pm – 9:15 pm
● Tuesday 3:45 pm – 9:15 pm
● Wednesday: 3:45 pm – 9:15 pm
● Thursday: 9:00 am – 3:15 pm OR 3:45 pm – 9:15 pm
● Friday: 9:00 am – 3:15 pm OR 3:45 pm – 9:15 pm
● Saturday: 9:00 am – 3:15 pm OR 3:45 pm – 9:15 pm
● Sunday: 9:00 am – 3:15 pm OR 3:45 pm – 9:15 pm
Shifts we are currently Recruiting for at Avenida | South with anticipated end of November start date:
● Thursday: 3:45 pm – 9:15 pm (rotating, every other week)
● Friday: 3:45 pm – 9:15 pm (rotating, every other week)

Note: Shift availability is subject to change throughout the recruitment process. Final schedules and shift options will be discussed during the in-person interview as applicable.

Role Overview
At Cedar & Steam, Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are essential to creating personalized, holistic experiences that promote relaxation, rejuvenation, and overall well-being. As an RMT, you will play a key role in delivering treatments tailored to each guest’s unique needs, ensuring a consistently high-quality and restorative experience. Our collaborative team environment fosters a positive, supportive atmosphere where RMTs connect with guests, colleagues, and guests, building strong relationships and cultivating guest loyalty. Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Retention

Deliver exceptional service by building lasting relationships, tailoring treatments to individual needs, offering personalized recommendations, and ensuring a positive and informative guest experience that fosters loyalty and repeat bookings.

Therapeutic Services

Deliver a variety of personalized massage techniques and restorative treatments based on guest needs, ensuring comfort, relaxation, and therapeutic benefits throughout each session.

Wellness Education
Promote and educate guests on wellness products and therapies that align with their needs, enhancing their overall spa experience and supporting their wellness journey.

Administration
Follow Cedar & Steam’s policies and procedures, accurately document treatments (SOAP Notes) and recommendations, and maintain clear communication with management and team members to ensure efficient spa operations.

Sanitation & Cleanliness
Adhere to safety and sanitation protocols, maintain organized and hygienic massage rooms and equipment, and ensure the spa remains clean, organized, and inviting for guests.

Team Collaboration & Support

Collaborate with contractors, spa leadership, and staff to ensure smooth operations, offer flexibility with scheduling, and foster a positive, supportive team atmosphere.

Qualifications
Education:
● Massage Therapy diploma | Minimum 2 years (2200 hour) certification from an accredited school of massage is required.
● First Aid with CPR certification is required.
● Professional Association Membership is required.
● Business License is required.
● Insurance is required.
● WHMIS certificate is required.
● Certifications in cupping, aroma detox, hot stone massage or other modalities are an asset.

 Experience:
● Previous experience as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) required, with a strong understanding of various massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, etc.) to tailor treatments to guest needs.
● Experience in customer service is essential, with the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and address guest concerns promptly to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
● Experience with MindBody software is preferred.
● Experience in a spa or wellness environment is an asset.

Skills & Knowledge:
● Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills to manage treatments, schedules, and guest documentation.
● Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities to address guest concerns and adapt to preferences professionally.
● Reliable and responsible, with consistent attendance and punctuality to ensure a dependable team environment.
● Skilled in educating guests on wellness products and services, creating upselling opportunities, and enhancing the guest experience.
● Adaptable, eager to learn new techniques and trends to meet evolving guest needs.
