What are Vicars Giving Clinics?
Vicars Giving Clinics are an opportunity for us to support a cause or organization that matters to us and reflects our values. We hold two Giving Clinic days a month during the regular school year; one each in Edmonton and Calgary. All proceeds from our student clinics on those days go to that month’s charity partner or partners. We pick days that we predict will very busy at the clinic, to maximize the donation.
Previous Giving Clinic recipients include Edmonton’s Food Bank, the Calgary Food Bank, and women’s emergency shelters in Edmonton and Calgary.
About Water Warriors
Water Warriors YEG and Water Warriors YYC are registered charities that help homeless Albertans live with safety and dignity by providing water, food, clothing, hygiene items, and harm-reduction supplies. Water Warriors was started in Edmonton in 2020 by Rebecca Reid, and soon spread to Calgary. Volunteers from both organizations hit the streets every week loaded up with wagons full of food, water, hygiene supplies, warm clothes, and other necessities.
