About our Edmonton massage school location
We designed our Edmonton campus to be the ideal learning environment—bright, comfortable, and fully equipped with top-quality massage therapy equipment and tools.
When you come in, the first thing you’ll notice is the sunlight and art filling the reception areas. After that, you’ll see is the comfortable and inviting student lounges, clinic rooms, offices, and kitchens. We have four specially designed classroom spaces, with hands-on massage “lab” facilities in addition to the needs of a more traditional lecture space. The classrooms feature professional-standard massage tables (including a few high-tech hydraulic tables), privacy curtains, handwashing stations, and everything else a modern massage student needs.
When you visit for a massage at our student clinic, you’ll enjoy the easy access of free parking, an accessible building, a spacious waiting area, and relaxing treatment spaces.

The Land We're On
The Edmonton campus of Vicars School is located on Treaty 6 Territory. This land is the traditional home of many First Nations, including Nehiyaw, Denesuliné, Stoney Nakoda, Anishinabae, and Niitsitapi peoples, and a part of the Métis Nation of Alberta Region 4.
Vicars School students, staff, and clients come from many different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. What brings us together is a shared dedication to healing and wellness. We believe that participating in the ongoing work of Truth and Reconciliation is an integral part of that mission.
What massage therapy courses are offered in Edmonton
Our campus in Edmonton offers all of our two-year massage therapy diploma courses. Our massage therapy diploma program is delivered through blended learning education. Our students spend four days on campus each month, plus shifts at our student clinic. The rest of their full-time massage therapy training is delivered online. That’s why students travel from all over western Canada to attend Vicars School. That, and because our program is fully accredited by the Canadian Massage Therapy Council for Accreditation, meaning that it meets the country’s highest massage therapy education standards. Our grads are in demand from employers and clients wherever they go; you can find Vicars RMTs all across Canada.
The massage therapy diploma program covers everything you need to be a successful and effective registered massage therapist. In addition to the hands-on techniques required to perform relaxation massage, sports massage, and therapeutic massage treatments, we teach anatomy and physiology, massage theory, ethics, biomechanics, orthopedic assessment, treatment planning, remedial exercise, and business skills.
Our Edmonton location also has a massage therapy clinic that’s open to the public. This student clinic is open year-round. Your one-hour massage will be performed by a student under the supervision of our experienced faculty, ensuring you receive high-quality care while helping students gain real-world experience.
We also offer an introductory course called “Massage for Beginners.” This is a two-day workshop, taught by Vicars faculty, that’s ideal for people who want to learn a new skill. It’s also very popular with people who are interested in beginning a massage career but want to try it out before committing to the full program.

But what if you are located outside Edmonton? No problem. Book a conversation over Zoom with one of our admissions advisors and it can include a virtual tour of the campus including a photo story of our students and instructors working hard and having fun!
Most Info Sessions are virtual—over Zoom—but occasionally they are held on campus, for some quality face-to-face time with us. And snacks!

But don’t take our word for it! Vicars School has full accreditation status from the CMTCA, the body that examines and approves massage therapy programs in Canada.
We earned their highest rating—five-year accreditation—something that no other private college has achieved in Alberta.
Our graduates are in great demand wherever they live. Unlike grads from unaccredited programs, they are prepared to write an entry-to-practice exam, so they can work as RMTs anywhere in Canada, even in regulated provinces, including BC, Ontario, New Brunswick, PEI, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

- Accreditation means our grads can work anywhere in Canada, for true labour mobility.
- Our practicum is all real-world experience in faculty-supervised teaching clinics and community outreach
